International exports

- Exporting our Welsh ponies and cobs -

Despite only breeding for a comparatively short period of time I am very proud to say that we have already exported a number of ponies and cobs to some fantastic homes and studs throughout Europe and Worldwide. We have contacts throughout Australia, Holland, Germany, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Sweden and the USA as well as excellent transporter contacts for anyone considering exporting from England and unsure of where to start. It is suprisingly reasonably priced with most transporters regularly travelling to the continent, so please do not let the distance put you off and contact us at taracostud@hotmail.com or by telephone 0044(0)7941-487616 or 0044(0)1227-750767 for further information. Visitors always welcome. Please see some details below of some of our ponies and cobs that have been exported.

America
Taraco Mourinho and Taraco Florentina sold 2010

These two stunning section Ds were sold within weeks of their arrival to two lovely homes in the USA. Florentina is a delightful and very special palomino filly who is by Danaway Tango and was the first Danaway Tango foal to be sold to the USA. Mourinho is an absolutely gorgeous and very striking dilute black colt by Danaway Flash Jack and out of Paith Magical Rockset. We will genuinely only ever sell our very best stock for breeding or export and I will be extremely proud to see these two lovely foals land on American soil. I wish both their new owners all the best with these two smashing foals.

Australia
Taraco Figaro sold 2010

This utterly breathtaking colt was sold at only hours old to Australia where he will be shown and run on as a stud stallion, hopefully to be an invaluable outcross in years to come. He will be the first Danaway Flash Jack foal to land in Australia and we are very proud to be sending what I think is arguably one of my best ever colts overseas. He just oozes quality and type and will hopefully prove to be as firm a favourite for his new owners as he is here.

Denmark
Taraco Fabio exported 2009

In 2009, we were debating about whether to retain or sell Taraco Fabio when Bent Thygesen of the Kildegaards Stud in Denmark contacted us. Having just decided to retain and show Fabio, the chance to sell to such a smashing home was too much of an opportunity to miss and we agreed to let him travel to Denmark. In Denmark he joins Aberlogin Ace of Spades as a future stallion for Bent's highly successful stud. This gorgeous colt is a full brother to Taraco Fiasco and Danaway Fantasy both retained here at Taraco Stud. Kildegaard Stud was established in 1987 with some great foundation stock including Nebo Cymraes (full sister to Nebo Daniel) and Synod Rembrant and for the past 17 years have not bought in any new blood to their stud. We are therefore very flattered that Bent chose Fabio to join his very select herd. Fabio is a fantstic mover and a real quality colt that we hope will prove to be a very successful outcross at Kildegaard Stud. I look forward to seeing him out on the international show circuit.

Holland
Taraco Fiorenza and Taraco Razzmatazz

In 2008, the gorgeous palomino welsh cob filly Taraco Fiorenza (out of Danaway Cherimarie) was sold to Amber Moelker in the Netherlands. This lovely filly was a firm favourite at the stud, by the lovely palomino stallion Yswain Demetrius, and Amber sends regular updates which show her maturing into a lovely mare. We also imported one of our section A mares, Blanche Glisten, from Holland to England as well as leasing in the delightful stallion Ysselvliedts Golden Boy from Ysselvliedts Stud in Holland 2008 - 2010. In 2009 we were asked whether we would consider leasing one of our section A mares to Holland. So October 2009 saw Taraco Razzmatazz (section A mare by Vervale Grenade) was leased to the Vughterheide Stud in Holland. Razzle will spend a couple of years in Holland being shown and hopefully is due to be covered by Blanche Gwillym in 2010 for a 2011 foal.

Germany
Section D palominos

In 2008 the two lovely palomino colts Gwyn (by Hwylog Welsh Flyer) and Orlando (by Danaway Flash Jack) were exported to Steffi and Christian's small stud of welsh cobs in Germany. Steffi and Christian were looking for a top drawer palomino colt to run on as a future stud and show stallion, and after their initial enquiry we decided to offer Orlando for sale as we felt that he would be an excellent ambassador for welsh cobs and prove that good cobs can also be a great colour! We could not have asked for a better home for these two colts, they have a smashing life and we get regular updates and photos. In Autumn 2009 we had decided to retain Taraco Bonita and offer her dam for sale, the beautiful palomino mare Beauty (by Nebo Thomas).

France
Taraco Rockstar exported 2009

In 2009 the super grey welsh section A colt, Taraco Rockstar (by Lapstone Paragon and out of Vervale RaRa) was exported to France where he will be shown and brought on to become stud stallion for Michel and Chrystelle. Rockstar is by the champion stallion Lapstone Paragon (Springbourne Boy Blue x Churchwood Portia by Penual Mark) and he is out of one of our top producing mares Vervale RaRa (by Vervale Gangster).

Czech Republic
Taraco Bendigo exported 2008

In 2008 Taraco Bendigo (chestnut section D colt by Yswain Demetrius) was exported to the Czech Republic as a potential ridden stud stallion. The cremello welsh section A filly Dolhredyn Misty Morning was also exported to Denisa's Marah Stud where she had a gorgeous palomino colt foal for them in 2009.

Sweden
Taraco Renegade, Tynyfid Carwyn

In 2004, the gorgeous palomino stallion Tynyfid Carwyn, sire of the cremello welsh section A Taraco Cherish, was exported Sweden with a consignment of delightful Friars mares to the Elpona Stud in Sweden. The gorgeous Royal of England winning colt Taraco Renegade was also sold to Sweden in 2004, before being sold on to Scotland in 2005.

Finland
Blesslea Betti Blw exported 2003

One of the first ponies we exported was the delightful palomino mare Blesslea Betti Blw by Twyford Sprig. She was sold to Mark Pascale of the Majodian Stud and exported to Finland in 2003. Photo taken by Paula Martiskanen.
