Foals

As any regular visitor will know, I only keep and breed welsh ponies and cobs for a hobby so there have only been a few foals over the years. Please find information/ photos and links to those foals below - and if you own a Taraco Welsh Pony or Cob please keep in touch - its great to hear how they are doing. Please click on the photos to see more information, pedigree and pictures of the ponies.

2009 Foals

Another exceptional year here at Taraco Stud and I was blessed with 8 fantastic foals. We were trhilled with two beautiful welsh section D fillies (Taraco Bonita and Taraco Amira) both of whom have been retained as future broodmares. With three stunning welsh section D colts it was hard to choose a favourite! Taraco Morocco, Taraco Firecracker and Taraco Fabio were all fantastic in their own ways but we were priviliged to sell Morocco to a lovely home in Wales whilst Taraco Fabio was sold to Denmark. The stunning welsh mountain pony colt Taraco Rockstar followed the international trend and was exported to France. Click here to see details of the 2009 foals.

2008 Foals

I was really lucky to have seven beautiful foals in 2008 - the lovely coloured fillies Taraco Karina and Taraco Echo; the beautiful welsh cobs Taraco Fiorenza (sold to Holland), Taraco Bendigo (sold to Czech Republic), Taraco Fireblade (retained) and the mountain pony foals Taraco Camaro and Taraco Rosetta (retained). Click here to see details of the 2008 foals.

2007 Foals

I was really lucky to have four beautiful foals in 2007 - the lovely coloured colt Taraco Kimba, and the three beautiful fillies Taraco Rioja, Taraco Calypso and Taraco Montana. Click here to see details of the welsh 2007 foals.

2006 Foals

I was really lucky to have four beautiful foals last year - the lovely colts Benito, Fernando, Diablo and Miss May. Click here to see details of the four 2006 foals.

2005 Foals

I was really lucky to have five beautiful foals last year - 2 stunning section D colts and 3 beautiful section A filly foals. Click here to see details of the five 2005 foals.

Striking chestnut sabino colt by S Ch. Larapinta Oystercatcher and out of S Ch. Ringstead Charming Lass (by Forlan Brigadier). Charlie is a multiple prizewinner, winning countless championships and classes in hand and now under saddle.

Taraco Sapphire
(2002 Section D filly)

A delightful palomino filly by the wonderful palomino stallion Janton Dictator and out of Dwyfor Saffron (by Dwyfor Supersonic). A nice elegant but deep-bodied filly with bone and feather.

Taraco Emerald
(2002 Welsh PB filly)

Beautiful chocolate brown filly by the black TB stallion Dantrex (TB) and out of my lovely section B mare Farchynys Cristal (by Coed Coch Pele). This filly combined the best of the welsh and TB.

Taraco Ebony
(2000 Welsh C Colt)

A lovely dark chocolate brown colt (now gelded) by Welton Lucky Jack and out of Farchynys Cristal (by Coed Coch Pele). Retained until 3 years old Bennie matured into a lovely all round pony.

A lovely chestnut section D colt by Welton Lucky Jack and out of the palomino mare Deicin Penny (by Deicin King Flyer). ‘Pip’ has already been successfully shown in hand on a number of occasions and has matured into a lovely welsh cob.

Taraco Sooty

A lovely dark bay filly by the TB stallion Brass Tacks and out of the beautiful black section C mare Knockbridge Sally (by Synod Ivor). Bred as a competition pony, with the size and speed of the Thoroughbred and the beauty, stamina and agility of the welsh, it doesn't look like she will disappoint.

Taraco Eclipse
(1999 Welsh PB filly)

A lovely chocolate brown part-bred filly by the palomino cob Apollo and out of the Section B mare Farchynys Cristal (by Coed Coch Pele). Gypsy has been successfully shown in hand and has thrown her owner some lovely foals.

Taraco Frost

My first foal and a lovely palomino colt by Babiog Rhodri and out of the palomino mare Sylton Silver Charm (Leyeswick Flash Jack). I couldn't have asked for more out of a first foal - palomino, big moving, lots of bone and a strapping big colt!
