Echo -

This lovely welsh part bred coloured filly, is very reluctantly offered for sale is. She is to make between 13.2hh and 14hh max. She is already showing signs of being a lovely deep bodied chunky filly with bone, feather and markings to match! Elsa is black and white although there is a chance she is dilute black and white which would mean that if she was used for breeding there is a chance that her foals could inherit the cream dilution gene and produce palominos, buckskins and dilute blacks or of course palomino and white, buckskin and white and dilute black and white. She is too young to reliably DNA test her at the moment but this could be done at 6 months old if her buyer wished to know for certain.

Her dam is the delightful welsh mare Farchynys Cristal, who is exceptionally wellbred and by the great stallion Coed Coch Pele. Her dam has been with me for 10 years now and has proved herself a great all round broodmare, pony and family friend who has successfully competed under saddle in dressage, working hunter and cross country as well as in hand. Moreover she has produced four fantastic foals all of which have gone on to be fantastic all round ponies including araco Eclipse (in Ireland) and Taraco Emerald (show jumping in Scotland). Her foals have all inherited their dam`s fantastic temperament, graceful and extravagent paces and wonderful outlook on life.

Elsa`s sire is the lovely young traditional coloured stallion `Shorty` - he is about 13.3hh, with at least 9 inches of bone, and combines beautiful markings, a kind and gentle temperament and good straight and powerful action all of which he seems to have passed on to this delightful little filly. He is dilute black and white which means he carries the cream dilution gene that can cause palomino and buckskin foals, hence the fact that there is a chance that Elsa is also dilute black and white like her sire.

This filly will be registered in the Welsh Pony and Cob Society (WPCS) stud book as a Welsh Part Bred (WPB) and will then be overstamped with CHAPS so will be eligible to be shown as a WPB or coloured filly. I have absolutely no doubts that she would be a great family friend and would readily turn her `hoof` to driving, riding or in hand showing or a combination of all three. She has a pretty pony head, a sweet disposition and shows every sign of being as kind as both her parents.
