Fantasy - fanciful speculation; daydream
As an admirer of the Royal Welsh Champion stallion Danaway Tango, I contacted the Danaway Stud in 2000 and arranged to go and visit the stud. In all their years of breeding top quality welsh cobs they had never bred a palomino, so you can imagine our surprise when their first foal in 2000 was a palomino filly! A few days later and I had got my dream palomino filly - Fantasy. This filly has an amazing pedigree - Fantasy is by the multiple Supreme Champion, four times Royal Welsh winner and Prince of Wales cup winner, Danaway Flash Jack, who is by Trevallion Flash Jack and out of Trevallion April. She is out of Danaway Cherimarie, a stunning liver chestnut mare that is half-sister to the multiple Supreme Champion Danaway Tango, being by Tireinon Triple Crown and out of Rainhill Fantasy. Her full brother from 2002 has been exported to Germany and the superb palomino colt Danaway Sunny by Danaway Flash Jack x Danaway Shelby (full sister to Fantasy's dam) has been exported to the USA where at his first and only show to date he went Supreme Champion. With back-to-back champions in her pedigree and for siblings I could not have asked for a better foundation filly for the stud. She had a beautiful colt foal by by the lovely Thorneyside The Terminator son Watling Welsh Magic in 2008 foal and has been covered by and scanned in foal to Danaway Tango for 2009.
