This amazing mare has joined Taraco Stud by kind permission of Barry Shepherd at Vervale Stud. It is both a privilege and a pleasure to welcome this lovely mare at the stud, beautiful to look at, with heaps of character and welsh spirit she epitomises the type of mountain pony I love. She is a full sister to the amazing Supreme Champion stallions Royal Welsh Champion Vervale Gabanna, Royal Welsh winner Vervale Galileo as well as Champion Vervale Glitter. Out of the hugely successful broodmare, Champion Blanche Glimmer, it is no suprise that Gift of Gold has all the signs of a champion in the making.

Gold’s sire is the exceptional stallion Springbourne Caraway – an unparalleled 10 times sire ratings topper for the Welsh Section As, Reserve Champion Royal Welsh Show, M&M Ridden Champion NPS, Champion at Northleach both in hand and under saddle, Youngstock Champion Section A Royal Welsh Show, Glanusk winner and Champion Section A, Champion HCWPA under saddle, and many more. Perhaps more importantly Caraway’s stock have been just as successful as he has in the show ring with Supreme Champion and Royal Welsh winning offspring too many to mention. With both Caraway and Blanche Gemma being by the legendary Penual Mark, Gold is linebred to this Supreme Champion and top-stockgetter and has Mark’s bone, feather and type combined with Caraway’s pure quality.

Gold's first foal for us is the wonderful Taraco Goldikova (by Friars Golden Mark), she was covered by Springbourne Elmer in 2011, and will also be covered again by Friars Golden Mark in 2012.
