Taraco Rosetta

Rosetta - name of italian/ latin origin meaning 'little rose'; One of the many affectionate names and greetings formed from flowers, originating in Italy during the Middle Ages

The fourth of Rara's foals this is the first by Lapstone Paragon and so far she is as lovely as her siblings by Vervale Grenade. Half sister to RASE winner Taraco Renegade and prizewinner Taraco Razzmatazz this delightful filly was born in the middle of the snowy Easter break! She is very cheeky and at only 10 hours old is already charging round the stable and field and running rings round poor mum! As a chestnut sabino with 4 stockings and a blaze Rosie is very striking and shows no sign of greying out at the moment, she has great conformation and heaps of bone and looks every inch like a real mountain pony should. Rosie is a lovely combination of some of the best bloodlines in the World - her sire is the lovely stallion Lapstone Paragon a stunning old stallion who well and truly lives up to his name and is a model of excellence in both type and temperament. He is beautifully bred and is by the fantastic stockgetter Springbourne Blue Boy a stunning Supreme International Champion stallion and out of the superb Supreme Champion mare Churchwood Portia. He is a wonderful example of a welsh mountain pony with short cannons and excellent bone combined with a beautiful head and fantastic movement (although at 16 years old his primary focus is ladies and grass so moving isnt top of the agenda any more!). Lightly shown with great success as a youngster he was a prolific winner and Champion (including 2nd at the RWAS as a youngster).

Her dam is one of my best foundation mares, Vervale Rara, a strikingly marked chestnut sabino mare who is impeccably bred being by the Supreme Champion Stallion Vervale Gangster (by Springbourne Caraway and out of Blanche Glimmer) and out of the fantastic mare Neauddparc Welsh Lady. A true welsh mountain pony - deep-bodied, extravagant mover, beautiful head, and heaps of spirit. Rara's sire, Vervale Gangster is full brother to the Supreme Champion's Vervale Gabanna and Vervale Galileo and was himself a supreme champion before being sold abroad as a four year old after covering some mares. So this delightful filly has a superb pedigree, combining back-to-back champions and stock-getters in her immediate pedigree, which include some of the best: Springbourne Caraway (Supreme Champion, RWAS winner and sire-ratings topper); Breachwood Marwyn (Supreme Champion and RWAS winner and champion); Springbourne Boy Blue (Exported to Canada where is has won Supreme Championships); Churchwood Portia (RWAS winner); Churchwood Promise (supreme champion); Blanche Glimmer (champion show mare and dam of RWAS winners); Penual Mark (top stockgetter) and many more.
